How to Draw a Battery as a Pencil Sketch?

Step by Step methods to Draw a Battery using Pencil as a Sketch for kids and beginners.

Step 1: Draw the Top of the Battery

You need to start by drawing an oval thatโ€™s slightly tilted at a diagonal angle. This will be the top of the battery. Just below the oval, draw a curved line parallel to it.

Step 2: Draw the Terminal

Next, draw the terminal on top. Create it using two curved lines (one for the top and one for the bottom), and connect them with two short straight lines on the sides. Erase any extra lines if needed.

Step 3: Outline the Battery’s Sides

Behind the terminal, draw another curved line, similar to the first oval. From each end of this curve, draw two straight lines going downward (โ€”) these will form the batteryโ€™s sides.

Step 4: Complete the Battery Shape

Extend these straight lines a bit more, making them slightly closer together as they go down. Then, use a curved line to connect the bottom ends, completing the battery shape.

Step 5: Add the Positive Terminal

Add a curved line across the top of the terminal to make it appear rounded. On one side of the battery, draw a small open rectangle using short lines (โ€”) this will be the top part of the plus sign.

Complete the plus sign by adding short straight lines to form the cross.

Step 7: Draw the Lightning Bolt

Next, draw a curved line across the body of the battery. Below this, sketch two straight lines meeting at a point, forming the start of a lightning bolt.

Use more straight lines to finish the zig-zag shape, making it look like an energy symbol.

Step 9: Add the Negative Terminal

At the bottom part of the battery, draw a small rectangle for the minus sign (-) to show the negative end. Finally, add a curved line below it, following the batteryโ€™s rounded bottom.
